As an all-in-one venue for your wedding and reception, a cruise ship is hard to beat. From the impressive grandeur of the ship as you board, to the exotic and exciting settings of your ceremony and reception, you can be sure that your wedding will be one you and your guests will never forget. Since the return of the cruise ships to New Orleans, I have done over a hundred weddings on three different ships. The Norwegian Spirit offering seven day cruises every Sunday. Shipboard weddings are performed before the ship sails, so you can invite your friends and family onboard to attend. All guests must have a picture I.D. and children are allowed with a birth certificate. Each cruise line offers their own unique packages, so there is something for everyone, from elopers, to larger, traditional ceremonies. Shore side pre-cruise weddings can also be arranged for the larger, more elaborate weddings. Contrary to some perceptions, New Orleans is alive and kicking! Over 800 restaurants (not counting fast food) are open for business offering every style of food imaginable. Tourism is the economic engine that drives our city towards its recovery. This is a crucial time for many of the local businesses, so your tourist dollars could have a huge impact on keeping the re-birth on track. As a Port of Embarkation, New Orleans offers more additional attractions than just about any you could think of. There's always a festival, concert, or convention that you can tie your special day to, or you can spend the weekend taking plantation and swamp tours. Better yet, check into one of our charming B&B's, and spend a week exploring one of the most historic cities in America. The World War II museum is constantly adding new attractions, the newest being a bomber that was bought on E-bay! Speaking of museums, New Orleans has many. The inter-active Children’s Museum, the New Orleans Museum of Art featuring fine art masters, the Cabildo, that chronicles the early years of our country, and we even have the Pharmacy Museum, to name but a few. So come drench yourselves in the history and romance of one of the world's most fabled cities; New Orleans, and leave on the honeymoon cruise of your dreams. Your fantasy awaits you. Rev.
